Renewable Energy Discussion Event

Watch the latest in a series of Reform Scotland events in the run-up to the election in partnership with the Scottish Policy Foundation.

With climate change now universally accepted as a global crisis it has become central to policy-making and debate. The Scottish government has made a legally binding pledge that Scotland will reach net zero by 2045, while later this year Glasgow will host world leaders at the high-profile COP26 conference.
 
The issue of renewable energy is also at the forefront of the Holyrood election campaign – including SNP promises to develop hydrogen technology and decarbonise heating systems, and Scottish Labour’s publication of a ‘Climate Recovery plan’.
